Ranking and placement
How suppliers are ordered
Under the EU platform-to-business regulation, we explain which parameters decide the order of suppliers and how much each one counts.
The supplier directory
The directory and category pages order suppliers by a relevance score. The score is the same for every visitor and is calculated from the factors in the table below. Companies run by Flobid itself are never shown in the directory or on the category pages.
Matching of requests
Requests are sent to suppliers by a separate matching score of up to 100 points:
- Category: 30
- Response history: 20
- Geography (delivery country): 15
- Win rate and ratings: 10
- Profile and verification: 10
- The buyer's requirements, such as certificates: 10
- Plan: 5
The category must match, or a closely related one when there are few suppliers. Suppliers the buyer invites are always included, and the number of places per request is limited.
Plans and order
In the directory, a paid plan adds no points by itself; it matters only through what it lets a supplier show and through verification. In the matching of requests, the plan counts for at most 5 of 100 points.
Paid placement
If Flobid offers paid placement, it is always labelled "Sponsored" or "Ad" and is shown separately from the ordinary order.
Questions about ranking
Suppliers who have questions about their placement can contact Flobid through the contact page.
Factors and points
The relevance score is the sum of these points. Text and category match count only when the visitor has searched for something.
